MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire campaign of 2020 Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders confirmed it has landed a big catch of "New American" residents here supporting his second White House run.

The new slate backing Vermont Senator Sanders includes representatives from the Bhutanese, Rohingya and Congolese communities many who are former refugees that fled violence and persecution in their home countries.

The first two rounds of supporters came from elected officials and community leaders.

“Bernie’s message of Medicare for All, a $15/hour minimum wage, tuition-free college and trade schools, and an economy that works for all of us resonates with New Americans because like millions of immigrants and former refugees before us we came here to build a better life for ourselves and our families," said Suraj Budathoki who is constituencies director for Sanders' New Hampshire campaign.
