Crazy Trump tells O'Rourke to 'be quiet' in wake of El Paso shooting / O'Rourke responds

My subject line added a word to The Hill's headline:

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/456479-trump-tells-orourke-he-should-be-quiet-in-wake-of-el-paso-shooting

President Trump late Wednesday night responded to criticism from former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas), who has repeatedly assailed the president in the wake of a mass shooting in El Paso.

"Beto (phony name to indicate Hispanic heritage) O’Rourke, who is embarrassed by my last visit to the Great State of Texas, where I trounced him, and is now even more embarrassed by polling at 1% in the Democrat Primary, should respect the victims & law enforcement - & be quiet!" Trump tweeted.

The president's remarks come shortly after O'Rourke, a 2020 presidential contender, announced he would be attending an event on Wednesday to pay tribute to the shooting victims and counter Trump's visit to the city.

"When President Trump comes to El Paso tomorrow, I will be joining our strong, beautiful, binational community at #ElPasoStrong. I hope to see you there," O'Rourke tweeted earlier Wednesday night.

-snip-

Trump just guaranteed more attention for O'Rourke tomorrow.

Kudos to O'Rourke for everything he's done and said since this tragedy occurred.

He is the most immature, despicable cretin to ever stain the planet. Kudos to Beto for challenging him to a duel in the public arena. He can't stand up against anyone if he doesn't have his cheering robots to bolster his ego.

Why are Texas Republican politicians leaving office in droves? Possibly they are concerned that they will be held accountable when Democrats regain control and assess their responsibility for putting children in cages, violating our existing immigration laws and refusing to do anything about legislation to curtail foreign governments interfering in our elections, even welcoming it, and encouraging white extremist terrorists to commit mass murder with the wmds they wield. They may also fear the private prisons seeing a new source of inmates.

When asked if he would be there to meet Trump he said, Mayor Nan Whaley asked him to be there with her. And he was going to talk to Trump. Ask him to have McConnell bring the Congress back. Mitch has done nothing but pass young Judges.

Sherrod also said the scene was like a war zone and the Legislature has done nothing and given little support. The Governor has finally proposed gun laws but did not know whether the Legislature would do anything.
