I think I may have underestimated Marianne Williamson. My bad.

She just did an interview with John Berman on CNN. The minute he introduced her, I said to myself, "oh jeez, here we go." Well, I was wrong to think that.

I'm going from memory, and I don't have time to paraphrase everything she said, but everything she said not only sounded good and made common sense, but it sounded presidential. One of things that stood out was when she said "The American people need to wake up." At the same time she said that, she also said that protesting is a constitutional right of the people. I believe the message she was getting across...and this is just my interpretation of it...was that if we really want to get anything done about this president and about the mass shootings and gun control, which the vast majority of Americans agree on, the American people need to get out there in the streets and protest because, like she said, protesting is a constitutional right of the people.

Williamson is right about that because protesting can lead to great results, and IMO there just hasn't been enough of that when it comes to today's problems. Talking about everything online is fine, but we need to follow that up by getting out there in the concrete world like what happened during the Vietnam era and the Civil Rights movement.

Marianne Williamson has been at the bottom of my list all along, but after paying a little more attention to what she has to say, I am going to be more open minded about her from now on and give her the respect she deserves, which I hadn't done to this point.

Her anti-vaccine nonsense is something I can’t get past. I don’t care how many ways she tries to spin it now. She still got it wrong just last week.

Also, spiritual platitudes are a major turn off. That she says some common sense stuff along with it just doesn’t move me. At all.

Not be a newbie who has to rely heavily on aides.

And preferably with experience in an executive branch.

It is very frustrating when you notice how much sense she can make at times.

However, I still don't think she is qualified to be the President of The United States, whatever that means in this day and age.

I do think that Marianne Williamson has a lot to add to the conversation and she should be taken seriously.

We need to have open-ended rolling protests in Washington DC, and possibly other cities & towns, like they've had in San Juan and Hong Kong. Screw the whole idea of permitting or caring whether daily business is obstructed too. A protest shouldn't care about that, because the inconveniences being caused by this fascist regime are far more disruptive.

the Beatles and the Buddha than Scientology, but woo nonetheless.

I suspect she's getting a bad rap for being a Positive Thinking/Self-Help type, but I'm not really sure just how she balances hard science with all the good feelings stuff. Maybe I should read one of her books.

Anyway, I too like a lot of the things she says, and I have no more problem with her in the public eye than her buddy Oprah. She is, overall, a positive force.

I just don't think she should be President. Not at all.

I'm starting to think that she might have more of a positive influence on the Democratic campaign than I previously thought she would. Hopefully, anyway.

13. I find "The American people need to wake up." to be condecending

I also did not like her bashing of democrats as a whole during the last debate. She offers good sense advice with no policy, no plan to back it up because, in her words, that would be "wonky."

The American people are awake and aware. Background checks poll at 90%. It's the republicans who are beholden to the gun lobby who are not serving the people they were elected to represent.

Williamson offered a unique perspective that was refreshing in the first debate, but I'm ready for debates with candidates who actually have a shot at winning and who have strong policies and plans.

I'm over Williamson.

Maybe the American people are aware, but if we really want to get anything done, then we can't leave it up only to the politicians, and that was her message. Only until we wake up and realize that we have to take it more upon ourselves will we accomplish any of our goals.

candidate who is really stating what needs to be said.

Sure, she sounds all new-age and "far-out" (I use that with great pride!) but her comments are right on point.

And sure, they can get a few hundred, a few thousand to chant "Lock Her Up", but they sure couldn't even begin to argue that they are the majority if a million in DC, a million in NYC, and 10 million nationwide, chanted "Lock Him Up" simultaneously.

It shouldn't be an all-encompassing march, just a Lock Him Up march, with no diversions.

I believe we are so angry now that we could easily do it.

All the major organizations should be included and GET IT DONE!!!
