O'Rourke to speak out at rally as Trump visits

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on President Donald Trump's visit to Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas (all times local):

8:10 a.m.

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke is attending an El Paso, Texas community rally timed to serve as counterprogramming to President Donald Trump's visit.

An El Paso native, O'Rourke will address the #ElPasoStrong event at a park Wednesday afternoon, during Trump's visit. O'Rourke is also attending a morning remembrance at a high school and making an evening visit to a makeshift memorial outside the Walmart where a gunman killed 22 people.

In February, during a packed Trump rally in El Paso supporting a U.S.-Mexico border wall, O'Rourke drew thousands with his own counter speech across the street.

Trump tweeted that he had "trounced" O'Rourke at those dueling February events, adding that O'Rourke should respect victims and law enforcement and "be quiet."

O'Rourke tweeted: "El Paso will not be quiet and neither will I."

This should happen every single time he has a rally anywhere. Sheesh, we have enough Democratic candidates to bring that plan to fruition.

4. Beto had more people at his rally last time than Trump--Trump can't help lying

Beto had the bigger of the two dueling rallies last time and it obviously got under Trump's skin so he decided to lie about it.

Other lies in Trump's tweet (he can seriously pack a lot of lies in one tweet)

Beto has had the nickname Beto since he was a toddler---Trump and his MAGA trolls keep pushing this lie despite it being debunked numerous times--there are several photos of Beto wearing clothing with the name Beto when he was child. And his childhood photo with Jesse Jackson has the autograph addressed to Beto.

And Beto is polling 2-4% nationally--yes as a supporter I wish it was higher and wouldn't be surprised if he gets a bump in the coming weeks--but the polling that Trump should really worry about is that 2 of the 3 recent Texas polls have Beto thumping Trump and if Trump loses Texas--he loses the election.

I would love to see people attend what ever tRump is doing and BOO him off the stage. Pretty hard for him to lie about his crowd size vs the other if the crowd is BOOING him, loudly....and constant. That would be some news coverage.
