RW panic over Biden's gun control plans. Tucker Carlson is saying "armed federal agents"

will be sent to people's homes to "demand their guns" if Biden is elected.

I'm not going to link to the Daily Caller article with video of Carlson saying this, but this is what he said while talking to NRA spox Dana Loesch:

“What do you make of Joe Biden’s promise that if elected he’ll send armed federal agents to the homes of law-abiding Americans and demand their guns,” Carlson asked, referring to Biden’s Monday comments. “What would happen if he did that?”

“Wow,” said Loesch. “I’m amazed at this argument from individuals who say that you can’t deport people who enter the country illegally because there’s too many of them, but yet at the same time, they say you can go door-to-door to millions of homes and you can take a perfectly legally-owned, legal to own objects from law-abiding innocent people.”

“You are confiscating guns by force. What are you going to use to take people’s guns? … Guns!” she added.

That article actually links to another Daily Caller article that's also hyperbolic but does admit this:

“How would you deal with all the assault weapons that are already out there that people have?” Cooper asked.

“What I would do is try to — I would institute a national buy back program and I move in the direction of making sure that that in fact was what we tried to do, get them off the street,” said Biden.

Cooper asserted that the proposal was not the same as confiscation programs.

“That’s not walking into their homes, knocking on their doors, going through the gun cabinets,” Biden said.

“Right now there is no legal way to deny them the right if they legally purchased them but we can in fact make a major effort to get them off the street and out of the possession of people,” he added.

Now, you'd think that whoever wrote that first Daily Caller story would realize that it ccontradicted the second. But RW talking points never put much importance on logic or facts.

And especially not when they're trying to scare hell out of their viewers and readers.

RW media is obviously terrified of Biden. As is the NRA.

The last time I ventured over to the Daily Caller every third “story” was an ad for irons toasters and other household items.

to the Daily Caller. I found the first article only because it popped up in a tweet among the top results when I was searching Twitter for posts about Biden. The tweet was from a DC reporter I'd never heard of.

I am surprised that Carlos's claim that Biden would send armed federal agents to confiscate people's guns hadn't received any attention at Mediate. That's a site I do check regularly, and they've nailed other idiocies of Carlson's.

So each of those RWers who are flipping out about Biden's plans should be asked point blank if they think armed, uniformed, military battalions should be patrolling every public space.

Just think how safe you'd feel at the mall with a dozen good ol' boys in MAGA hats, carrying assault rifles, strutting back and forth.
