As Donald Trump heads to El Paso, Beto O'Rourke makes stops in community

A memorial visit
In his final stop of the day, O'Rourke visited a makeshift memorial near El Paso Walmart where Saturday's shooting occurred.
Flowers, candles and signs lined the curb as people went up to pay their respects. O'Rourke did not make public remarks to those there, but did talk to some who were visiting the site.
"I'm just very grateful to everyone who has come out to support those who've lost somebody, those who are grieving and those who have somebody who's at Del Sol or University Medical Center, and that family member's not out of the woods yet and they don't know how they're going to be," O'Rourke told reporters after leaving the memorial area.
O'Rourke said he hopes Trump's visit was helpful for victims.
"But for the community at large, to have been so regularly attacked and vilified and demonized by this president, for him to have created the conditions that made an attack like this possible and ultimately likely, it's very insulting to us that he was here," he said.
