like the view and others where you don't actually talk about the issues.

so this applies to most public offices.

if i was going to run for office i would tell them to vote for me so they can let me do the job while they spend time and have a beer with the others running.

but i would do things like town halls and other things where i can talk to people about issues and their concerns.

primary today, I would vote for:

"Poll" cast by people putting corn kernels in jars at the Iowa State Fair:
Biden 24
Buttigieg 16
Warren 15
Harris 11
Sanders 9

Monmouth University scientific poll of Iowa:
Biden 28
Warren 19
Harris 11
Sanders 9
Buttigieg 8

Pretty close, actually!

haven't been that different from the professional polls.

The main difference is that Buttigieg is doing much better in this straw/kernel poll. And reply 20 here explains why -- his organizers are urging people to go vote for him in this state fair poll, to try to beat Biden.

State Fair is when the average Democratic voters in Iowa start to really check in with who they like.. The early numbers are our Democratic Activists who are probably some of the most liberal and progressive in the United States..and Biden was leading with them.. sooooooooooooooo

Biden's doing 2 points better and Buttigieg is doing 1 point better than when Nate Silver tweeted about the poll a couple of days ago (see that reply above). Warren and Harris are the same. Sanders has lost a point since that reply about Nate Silver.

But this is still pretty close to the poll results from a week ago, posted in the OP.

...if Sanders were to finish 4th or worse in Iowa and fail to win New Hampshire, he needs to drop out.

And Iowa is a must-win for neighboring Klobuchar. Lose and she needs to drop out, assuming she doesn't drop out sooner.
