Elon Musk endorses Andrew Yang

Good thing or a bad thing for Yang? I believe we have Musk fans and Musk detractors here.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Saturday indicated support for Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang after Yang tweeted that he didn't expect supporters to agree with him on everything.

"I support Yang," Musk tweeted, following up with a second tweet that "He would our first openly goth president. I think this is very important."

Yang had previously tweeted, "I don’t expect people to agree with me on everything- that would be odd. My main hope is that people trust that I’m trying to solve problems and I’m open to different approaches - particularly if the data drives in a particular direction. Changing one’s mind is not a bad thing."

Yang, a former tech executive, is among two dozen people vying for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. He has gained attention for making universal basic income a focal point of his run and his campaign recently announced that he qualified for the fall debates.

From one "businessman" to another.

I don't know why anyone supports Yang. Haven't we seen what happens when a businessman who has never held office comes to the White House?

it's 20 minutes, but you might want to start about the 8 minute mark if you are in a hurry.

and this is the other https://www.yang2020.com/policies/

And ideas to take our country into the future.

Does he have a chance? No. The debates and campaign are here to expose his ideas to the public and maybe influence future policy. Not a single candidate discussed UBI but now they might need to address it.

“I distinctly remember coming into school in eighth grade and a friend, Dan Miller, was full goth, wearing all black. I remember seeing this and saying, “Wow, that’s quite the transformation over the summer.” So Dan had a real impact on my musical taste and we ended up going to many of these concerts together. So I daresay, if I win in 2020, I would be the first ex-goth president.
