$70,000 a minute. $4 million per hour. $100 million per day. (Original Post) Uncle Joe Aug 2019 OP

Right - $36,000 per year, 52 weeks per year, 60 hours per week - that equals $11.54 per hour. George II Aug 2019 #3

for months, before and after forming a union. Took not shaming, but problem PR via press coverage to get him to insult the long hours of devoted work they were putting in for him by cutting their hours to make what they were being paid come out to $15/hour.

Btw, how would they make that hour-pay change retroactive? You know, so they were paid $15/hour for all the many months he was refusing?

Wrong topic to bring up, maybe. But while we're on it, Biden at least has been paying more than $15/hour to his lower-end employees all along.

which they were putting in every day every week -- because they believed in him. For those 60 hours/week his own employees were being paid what they explained were "poverty wages," and they're STILL not making a dime more.

I've never figured out what goes on in his head, but I don't need to to know it's nothing I can admire and respect.

$56,600, far short of the $36,000 they're being paid. If it's only 10 hours overtime each week it calculates to $42,900, still very short.

As should Amazon. Christ, both those companies alone could garner the largest group health insurance plan on the planet AND get the tax savings as a result...not that these assholes pay corporate income tax. It pisses me off. My spouse and I own a small business that employs 7 people. We’ve never started anybody out at less than $15 an hour and most of our staff is paid over $20 an hour. We pay for health insurance for full time employees who want it and don’t get it through their spouse’s employer. Is it difficult to do that sometimes? Yes..when orders are slow it’s hard...but I have never thought for a moment it wasn’t the right thing to do.

it just seems like good business to train good people well enough that they can go anywhere to work but pay them well enough to stay with us. Duh! That and the folks who work with us are like family. I love them all dearly.

The already filthy rich get richer by exploiting the poor and suffering until they have it all.

They are the enemy. They created Traitor Trump. They allowed little man Putin to invade. They have no use for democracy. They have no use for any of us.

Tells me Walmart has 2.6 million employees. It costs 81 billion to pay that many people $15/hr for a 40 hour work week.

Their revenue this year tops 500 billion. 36 of which goes right In Walton pickets.

They can afford this
