De Blasio attends AIPAC-hosted discussion as group remains flashpoint for liberal Democrats

Politico

Mayor Bill de Blasio made an unannounced visit to participate in a discussion about anti-Semitism hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Thursday, as the lobbying outfit commonly known as AIPAC comes under increased scrutiny within the Democratic Party.

Photographs on Twitter show a smiling de Blasio standing with a group of women in front of an AIPAC banner, followed by comments thanking him for his support. The private event was hosted by a women’s division of the organization.

“Honored for @NYCMayor @BilldeBlasio to have spoken today @AIPAC meeting discussing anti-Semitism & the importance of a strong US-Israel relationship. Thank you for your #Progressive leadership on pro-Israel issues. Looking forward to seeing you in DC #AIPAC2019,” tweeted Jason Koppel, the northeast region’s political director for the lobbying outfit.

He was referring to the group's national conference later this month. De Blasio’s spokesman did not immediately respond to a question about whether the mayor plans to attend.
If I were to vote in a presidential

It should be called ALPAC because what they are is a lobby for the Likud party.
