BETO SURGES!

Poll Date Biden Warren Sanders Harris Buttigieg O'Rourke

Then:
Economist/YouGov 8/3 - 8/6 25 18 13 8 7 2

Now:
Economist/YouGov 8/10 - 8/13 23 20 16 8 6 5

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/2020_democratic_presidential_nomination-6730.html#polls

Look what can happen in a week! Expect Beto to have another surge in September after the debate where he will another take another opportunity to decimate Trump.

This poll should quiet the pundits that are spreading bullshit advising Beto to withdraw from the presidential race.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

snip of article;

One of the largest newspapers in Texas issued a message over the weekend to Democratic presidential candidate and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke: Texas needs you.

In an editorial published Saturday, the Houston Chronicle urged O’Rourke to drop out of the 2020 presidential race and instead return to Texas to run for the Senate again — this time against Republican incumbent Sen. John Cornyn.

He would be a great Senator. We need to clean out the Congress of the dead wood. Just my opinion.

With Harris and Buttigieg sliding in the polls, Beto could be in fourth place soon and definitely be considered as a viable alternative to the more elderly candidates.

Beto is in a three-way tie for fourth place. He also presents an attractive alternative to the generation of candidates that would be forced to retire if they were working in the private sector.

Beto will not be withdrawing to run for the Senate and everybody better become accustom to that fact. I know that many will be disappointed/concerned once they grasp that reality.

Beto could easily become the anybody-but-? compromise in a brokered convention. However, at this point Beto seems just as viable as Buttigieg or Harris who will also likely have zero delegates going into Super Tuesday. In fact, it doesn't like any candidate will have an insurmountable delegate count lead before Super Tuesday.

First post - preface by saying I will vote for whomever the nominee is. However I would be very disheartened if I had to vote for either Biden or O'Rourke. Biden because I feel like he let us down in 2016 when he stepped aside for HC I believe our chances of winning would have better with him. O'Rourke lost in Texas to Ted Cruz, however unlike in the Ga Gov race where its obvious to anyone with sense to see was fixed, I did not hear of anything like that in Texas and I just never thought losing was the way to the presidency. Just my thought on those two but ultimately I will support either over 45.
