The usual disclaimer: This poll is more than 6 months from the start of actual voting. The results of any single poll should not be overemphasized.
Another indication of her growing support across the Democratic base.
Cory Booker and Beto O'Rourke came in a very strong 6th and 7th, respectively. Perhaps out performing the conventional wisdom?
Lot's of food for thought for potential General Election ticket pairings in these results, perhaps?

(48,732 posts)and this isn't the first time Warren's been ahead or tied when people are asked about all the candidates they're considering, while sometimes Biden's been ahead.
The one consistent difference between them is that Warren's advantage typically comes from independents, as does her advantage in the overall polling in this latest poll (Biden's 3 points ahead, not just 1 point ahead, when only Dems are considered). So that won't help her in states with closed primaries.

(7,990 posts)They send me questions all the time. I'm surprised by the difference in % of those considered to be outside the top four.

(32,606 posts)If the caucus or primary were held in your state today, who would you vote for. Has an entirely different look.
I understand your candidate of choice is Warren and the numbers have changed but cherry picking parts of a poll...

(5,376 posts)A new Economist/You Gov weekly tracking poll shows Former Vice President Joe Biden at 21%, with Senator Elizabeth Warren in second at 20%.

lol Just sayin', but I dont think it "Has an entirely different look" at all. They both show Warren gaining great support.
So much for "cherry picking", eh?
Thanks for pointing out THIS part of the poll for everyone again, another person had posted about it previously so I refrained from reposting it. So, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to mention it in this thread!

(32,606 posts)I acknowledged that warren has indeed come up in the polls, and understand she is your candidate of choice. And in your bold shouting letters you repeated what I put a link to about the statistical tie. So no need for shouting!!

(5,376 posts)"In all fairness here's another page in that same poll that asked If the caucus or primary were held in your state today, who would you vote for. Has an entirely different look."
"I understand your candidate of choice is Warren and the numbers have changed but cherry picking parts of a poll..."
"Just sayin"
And now you say:
"Why such a hateful sarcastic reply?"
Perhaps the "but cherry picking parts of a poll... " was a typo? It comes across, well, accusatory.
And the bit about this part of the poll having "an entirely different look." was also a typo? The poll actually show Warren and Biden in a statistical tie.
