Going after Donald Trump's incendiary rhetoric and calling for strict gun reform, Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke reaffirmed his commitment to running for president Thursday in El Paso.
After the mass shooting in El Paso on Aug. 3, O'Rourke left the campaign trail to return to his hometown. He remained there for more than a week, visiting a makeshift memorial near the Walmart where 22 people were killed, attending a funeral service in Ciudad Juarez and making other stops in the community.
The former Senate candidate has been outspoken in his criticism of President Donald Trump, linking his rhetoric to the attack. As he returns to the campaign trail, O'Rourke is focusing on confronting Trump.
"And so to those places where Donald Trump has been terrorizing and terrifying and demeaning our fellow Americans, that's were you will find me on this campaign," he said.
