(3,307 posts)And agree, Beto brings a lot of RFK'ness to the the ticket, but that ticket is too male and too white for this cycle. Would be fine with Harris/Beto and Biden SOS.

(7,113 posts)...since the last POTUS election, women have staged the largest political marches in the history.
Black women were largely responsible for voting in Alabama's first Dem senator and other critical candidates.
The 2016 Blue Wave brought to office a great roster of able women and minorities.
The Dem contenders for the 2020 POTUS include the largest number of women ever.
So after all that incredible activism, empowerment, and electoral success by women in general and women of color in particular, the Democratic Party would indeed look downright tone deaf and out of touch if the result is a ticket of two white guys.
And, no, I'm not buying the "electability" argument. Qualified and predictable candidates Kerry and Gore were supposed to be electable, too.

(7,113 posts)Your ticket definitely rolls off the tongue better than, say, "Klobuchar-Buttigieg."
Try saying that three times fast.

(4,178 posts)Odds on one of those three being on the final ticket should be over 90percent
Odds on two out of the three should also be very high

(3,268 posts)...The two women bring strong experience, and liberal chops-I believe Democrats are ready for an all female ticket and I know women are. Add a touch of minority representation and It's a hell of a ticket!

(1,736 posts)We're facing critical issues - climate change, resurgence of white supremacy, income inequalities. What have these two candidates done in the past to address these issues, and what's the future plan?
I hope all candidates address these questions. What is your understanding of Biden and Beto so far on these issues?
