(20,755 posts)...and the campaign office had a corner equipped for child care with toys and floor rug games and so forth.
The idea being, if the parents wanted to phone bank or cross-check voter lists or whatever, the kids had someone to read stories or play games while they did it.
Seemed like a good way to do things, to me.
