Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumAn editor at Daily Kos shared their, um, opinion about Nina Turner and Bernie Sanders...NSFW
I'm not sure if this is okay to share here. If it's not, I will self delete. However, I wanted to show an example of why the Sanders campaign is getting upset with media coverage. Daily Kos is a popular democratic website that most on here recognize. One of their editors went on a Twitter rampage against Nina Turner and Sanders using some NSFW language. The tweets have since been deleted. You've been warned.

(1,474 posts)which was invoked this week by Sarandon's attack on Democratic candidates, and it has spilled out to include a larger number of commentators. The tweets in the OP are part of that larger discussion.

(3,649 posts)Calling Nina Turner a prostitute is "part of that larger discussion"...

(1,474 posts)I'm not saying that. I'm saying that Turner has found herself suddenly in the whole verbal battle because she was dragged into it by Sarandon's talk.
Are you honestly claiming that I said that accusing someone of prostitution is justified?

(1,474 posts)My larger point was that the Sarandon talk opened up a gigantic wound that apparently is still alive in 2019, sadly. The attacks on Turner are extremely unpleasant and strange. If that gentleman worked for a legitimate news organization, he would be sacked upon the spot.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

(68,543 posts)Turner nor Sarandon...and the shit they said about Hillary during the general was vicious...both Stein supporters...so I guess maybe they were not the best surrogate choices a person could make in the 2020 primary.

(3,649 posts)I'm not sure if that type of language is allowed to be seen in posts. But you're right, it's vile.

(7,681 posts)But what I'm saying is you should fix it. Nobody will take the time fix it/seek out the original.
Of course most will just ignore it anyway since it's inconvenient and doesn't fit the popular narrative.

(68,543 posts)vote for her in Ohio when she was a Democrat state congress person...she supported stein and totally tried to fuck over Democrats with Our Revolution...Sen. Sanders chose her for his campaign and it is legitimate criticism to say maybe that was not the best thing he could have done...even in the news...but Daily Kos is not news.
