Washington, D.C.- Following the release of Bernie Sanders 2020 Green New Deal, the League of Conservation Voters released the following statement from SVP of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld:
We are excited to see a strong climate plan from Senator Sanders that focuses on creating family sustaining jobs in the clean energy economy and investing in frontline communities who have been hit first and worst by climate changeincluding under resourced groups and communities of color. This plan lays out a road map for addressing the climate crisis starting on day one in the White House, charting a course to decarbonize our power and transportation sectors by 2030 and achieving net zero climate pollution by 2050. Voters across the country are demanding that the next president have a bold agenda to tackle the climate crisis and there is a lot to like in this plan.

I don't know how feasible Bernie Sanders' climate plan is, but the fact that the League of Conservation Voters is excited about it is noteworthy.
