Warren gains on Sanders, Biden in new national poll

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is gaining ground on top-tier White House contenders Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden, according to a new Hill-HarrisX survey

The survey released on Tuesday still shows Warren in third place, but she has ticked up four points over the past two weeks to 14 percent support among likely Democratic and independent voters.

Biden, meanwhile, held onto the top spot with 30 percent, but is down 1 percentage point. Sanders placed second at 17 percent and is also down 1 point from the Aug. 9-10 poll.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) tied with South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg for fourth place, with each receiving 4 percent support.

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) rounded out the top five at 3 percent, a 1 point decrease compared to the previous poll.

about her embrace of MFA and her protectionist tendencies. She's shown some real political skill and leadership abilities that I'm not seeing in the other candidates.

candidate you agree with on 100% of things.

And when she makes a mistake, she learns where she went wrong and goes about fixing it and making amends if people were hurt by it.

Not perfect, but she doesn't pretend to be.
