The race since the first debate...

It's been remarkably stable at the top.

On July 1st, Biden led with 27% of the vote and his margin over the second-leading candidate was 12.

Nearly two months later, Biden leads 28.9% of the vote and his margin over the second-leading candidate is 11.8.

So, Biden has actually grown his overall total by nearly two-points and the margin between him, and the second-place candidate, is only -.2 from where it was in June.

In that span, I've read at least a dozen articles predicting Biden's inevitable slide.

And yet he endures.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

everything the last few months.

Not just articles.. I've read the pundits tear him down on tv.. not to mention the online Biden detractors. I'm seen plenty of that.

Perhaps his reputation, relationships, and friendships he's forged over the years, is stronger than those people, who are predicting his political demise, realize?

Thank you for this, DI

The print media does, too.

The online detractors? We know who they are.

This the worst field of Democrats I've ever seen. They're all either too far left or inexperienced. Biden isn't great, but in this field he's clearly the only option.

"This the worst field of Democrats I've ever seen."

That's certainly an unsupported allegation. But I get it... we often righteously tell others our right to the opinion that 2+2=7 is sacrosanct.

..... it clearly shows what I've been saying for a month at least. Sanders and Warren are consistently in a tug-of-war for supporters as shown in the intertwining of their support over a period of time. First it's Sanders, then Warren, back to Sanders, and at the moment it shows Warren in the catbird seat. Neither candidate has drained any support of significance away from Joe Biden as shown in the consistency of his polling numbers. I know it is not what Sanders and Warren supporters want to hear, but the evidence is obvious and clear.

is the calculus that tells the overall story of this campaign. Never once, has the green line dropped below an 8-point lead for Biden. No other color but green has ever appeared at the bottom of that cumulative chart, regardless of the time period it covers.

Joe Biden has maintained a statistically significant lead over his closest rival from the very beginning. Anyone who doesn't think that means something important is not paying attention.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
