Why Is Tulsi Gabbard Paying This Obscure Consultant Big Bucks?
Honolulu Civil BeatSTEHEKIN, Wash. Deep in the Washington state wilderness, a highly paid political consultant is raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars from U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbards presidential campaign.
Its the kind of money usually spent on national name-brand political operatives with bustling offices and large staffs based in Washington, D.C., or New York.
But few people in the business have ever heard of Kris Robinson, the owner of Northwest Digital, a web design and internet marketing firm working for Gabbards campaign. His company address is a PO box here in Stehekin, a remote village in the Northern Cascades mountains thats famous for its isolation.
Cell phone service is non-existent and there are no roads in. Visitors travel mostly via ferry, which each day makes a run up Lake Chelan, a 55-mile journey that can take up to four hours. Other options include horse, foot and floatplane.

It sounds like their connection via that religious foundation/cult is the main reason she hired him,

since she has other people with that connection around her.
As for how eccentric he sounds and how isolated his home is...I've met some very eccentric people specializing in computers and web design and internet businesses.

You can determine who they are by the company she keeps, and the help she refuses to denounce.

(67,381 posts)6. key points - most of these people belong to a tiny religious sect about which they refuse
to answer questions, all these people have only done the minimal legally required disclosures which are as vague as possible, and repeating for emphasis these players including gabbard refuse to discuss any of this, and gabbard has been hooked into these systems for a long long time
