There was a section about people “shopping” for healthcare who could buy in if they wanted PUblic Option rather than a private plan. Then there was a section about people who would be automatically enrolled in the Public Option.

Castro made an ass out of himself, I expect he’ll be polling even lower than he is now. I like him, but he’s off my shortlist after that bs.

I don’t have a vested interest in this but I rolled the video back in real time because I heard the same thing Castro did. I then posted the video.

What’s odd is Brian Williams truncated the video to omit this statement below.

Now maybe Biden said something different earlier on - I didn’t go back that far at the time. But it’s pretty strange for “fact checkers” to omit this statement that is obviously what Castro is referring to:

Castro should have taken note of the negative reaction to Harris after her attack on Biden in an earlier debate. Who knows, maybe some political adviser told him that he was coming across as "too nice".
