Not happy with her about that.

Imho it was a political act meant to clear up the optics of the time.
In a small way it reminded me of when democrats add their votes to condemnation of ACORN when it was falsly accused of bad acts. Democrats were too frightened of guilt by association so they acted before the facts were in.

Sadly Warren was part of the stampede.

I don't expect perfection from my politicians.

Even though I believe Gillibrand is more culpable in what I think of as the railroading of Franken I will still vote for her and support her fully if she gets the nomination.

My reasons for supporting Warren remain the same. She is highly knowledgeable on the issues I find important and is on the right side of those issues. She is able to explain her positions clearly and simply, in a way the right wing has difficulty spinning. Warren had lots of experience before her time in the senate and has a history of being a hard worker.

She was self serving and self aggrandizing. Doubling down on this issue that I would hope would raise second thoughts in most people.

Just to make clear all the female senators added their voices in calling for Franken's resignation rather than letting an investigation go forward. I am disappointed in them all. As well as of all the male senators who joined in.

What act by a politician would make you write them off?

And why do you pretend that Gillibrand only posted to facebook and held one press conference? And why do you pretend that Franken asking for an investigation by the appropriate group is just political theater? Do you think Franken would not have resigned if the committee had found against him? Or do you think that Franken did not warrant an opportunity to clear his name?

The issue here was overturning the will of the voters of Minnesota. There should be a process to that, don't you think?

We met and chatted several times. I liked his work in the Senate. But I also respect womens' claims of harassment (and no, they weren't all easily dismissed as RW operatives). And when every other Democratic Senator (except Manchin) says they can't work with him, I take that seriously.

46. Whatever you think of Franken, there's no getting around the fact that Gillibrand is being dishonest

Franken was driven from the Senate. The Democrats made it clear that he would not be allowed to get anything done if he stayed. They bullied him out.

Gillibrand is making it sound like Franken decided he couldn't survive the ethics investigation. And she knows that is not what happened.

I wonder if that'll give her an edge over Klobuchar.

I thought she elaborated on a range of policies that address issues voters care about.

Both Biden and Warren can get under Trump’s skin. Colorado resident here, Hickenlooper is good but can be characterized as a waffler.

I usually support the most left candidate in the primary, but my criteria is different this year. WE NEED TO WIN. Bottom line most of our candidates have the same values and same message.

...Meh. I'll vote for her if she's the nominee, no doubt, but she's not my first choice. So far, and even with Beto Mania running wild, I have yet to see anything that changes my mind about Kamala. I guess the kids these days would say I'm her ride or die.

don't have her that high on my list.

But, she's far from the bottom.

And I don't hold a grudge over Franken. I think there's a dark story in the background that we may or may not find out about.

And, we are talking about the president here-- that's a serious choice and should not be decided by one incident that we don't fully understand.
