Q: has Sanders switched his Party affiliation to D yet?

Just asking.

I went to his campaign website for info, but it looks like you need to give them your email address and zip code before they’ll give you access past the landing page, and I’m not doing that. Don’t need to be bombarded with fund-raising asks. Plus, the page says that by providing the info, you’re telling Sanders “you’re in.” Er, no. I can see them citing providing the info as equal to declaring support for Sanders, rather than just an attempt to gain access to the website by following their instructions on how to gain access.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Vermont has a non-partisan registration. You simply register to vote, you don't have the option SFnomad Mar 2019 #8
But you need to file paperwork with the Senate declaring a party affiliation. stopbush Mar 2019 #9

According to Wikipedia, on March 5 he signed a loyalty pledge to the effect that he would run as a member of the Democratic Party. However, he registered as an independent for his next Senate run.

He signed saying he would run as a Democrat, but has not registered as a Democrat, and did register himself again as an Independent. Sounds like a false pledge to me.

Sanders signed the necessary papers and has been accepted by the DNC to run in the Democratic Party primaries.
This has been asked and answered in multiple threads over the last two months.

Just saying. And I'm not a Sanders supporter.

or will he wait until the primaries start? Signing a pledge is just that - a pledge. It isn’t binding. Actually filing the paperwork to make the change is something else, ergo my question.

IIRC, Sanders filed the paperwork to run as a D in 2016, then refiled as an I after he lost to Hillary.

He officially filed as a D in Nov 2015 and also declared as a D in Vermont at that time, so he as done it in the past.
