Where does your candidate stand on what was done to Rep. Katie Hill?

"Sen. Kamala Harris slammed the slut-shaming of bisexual Rep. Katie Hill, who submitted her resignation from Congress amid accusations of an affair with a House staffer and admission of a relationship with a campaign aide.

“There’s so much that people do about women and their sexuality that’s about shaming them,” Harris told BuzzFeed News....

Harris characterized the attacks as “cyber exploitation” and “pornography.” Harris, as California’s attorney general, was the first in the nation to prosecute a cyber exploitation website posting nude photos of individuals without their consent. She’s filed legislation to make publishing such content a federal crime."

that are in FAVOR of revenge porn .. so I'm not sure if there is a valid question here. But, for the record, I don't think ex-lovers (or political opponents) should post nude pictures of former partners.

By the same token, there is very little support (or defense) for people in positions of power sleeping with subordinates .. which has been clearly understood and defined as ethical misconduct for many years. So while many may utterly abhor the "slut shaming" and revenge porn .. they also see Hill's resignation as the correct response to her own clear ethical lapses and lack of judgement. In short .. Hill is both victim, and (by most definitions) victimizer here.

Harris chose to make a statement on the subject .. while highlighting part A, and soft-peddling or ignoring part B .. which is fine if that is where she feels the emphasis should be here. And I'm not sure if I see a problem with other candidates who have chosen not to.

If I were to vote in a presidential

With comparisons being made between politician’s reactions and actions to the Franken accusations and resignation. The conversation was pretty dominant for months once candidates started announcing.

The two situations are completely different, but both are completely legitimate parts of the conversation.

One big difference though, is that the Hill situation is actually a current event.
