I think a lot of people are dismissing Yang out of hand because he's perceived to be a one-issue candidate, or because of his lack of political experience.

I just want to make two points.

1. He is championing much more than just $1000/month. If you have written him off because he's a one-issue candidate, then I just hope you'll look a little deeper. You might see why he keeps getting more supporters and why his message resonates with people from all political backgrounds - most importantly, the many people supporting him who have never been inspired to get involved politically. These people are not inspired by politicians. They don't trust them.

2. His outsider status is something many of his supporters see as an advantage, myself included. He is extremely intelligent, and those of us who support him trust him to get the right team of advisors in place should he win. And I definitely think he can beat Trump.

Thanks for reading and for your consideration.

And a rockstar in his own right. I see very little about him that says he should be leading the executive branch. Some people think of him as a niche candidate. On that I agree with you. He is not. He and Williamson have extensive platforms. I think they are also viewed similarly as not being suited for the job of being President in good times, much less now.

FAR from unrealistic, as hers most definitely is

So that is a misleading comparison.

I don’t find her platform to be extreme, as you do.

My comparison is simply in how ruby St their platforms are. Their platforms aren’t the reason they aren’t catching on. The electorate wanting more qualified people is.

Yang has much to say and everyone should be listening.

Is he really ready to be President? that's what this primary is about; I think ALL of the Democrats running have something to contribute to our overall voice.

I think a lot of people are overestimating the importance of experience in elected office, and underestimating just how much a good deal of the electorate distrusts politicians.

He's talking about things we should have started talking about in the late 90s when PCs became commonplace and we could see the emerging influence of AI, the gen Xers' baby boom was underway, and we had once again failed to effectively address climate change despite having a uniquely committed VP.

That's another people are supporting him. He isn't just addressing current issues but looking forward to be proactive in dealing with things that will impact us in the near future.
