have any candidates released detailed plans for repairing the Trump damage?

for better or worse, Sen. Warren put forth a plan to fund a national health care program. 10-20 years ago this would have been fantastic, now i'm afraid we have bigger fish to fry.

Trump has been president for nearly 3 years now. from what i can see, which is but a tiny sliver of the overall picture, he has done immense and incalculable damage to our country across myriad areas from international relations to race relations while loading the judiciary and foreign service with incompetent yes-men.

we need him to leave, but once he leaves (should we be so lucky) the next president inherits a divided nation whose government has been compromised at the highest levels. this needs to be fixed. somehow. and imho it needs to be the focus of the Democratic primaries. i'd like to see more specific ideas put forward on these topics.

have i missed a candidate's proposals? if there are plans for post-Trump repairs, please post links. thanks.

Another issue to watch: How would the candidates repair the damage Trump has wreaked upon U.S. institutions, political norms and relations? It’s more than just bringing a polarized nation back together; it’s about rebuilding the public’s trust in government, restoring the rest of the world’s faith in the United States as an ally and a moral leader, and reversing direction on policies from climate change to immigration. Accomplishing these tasks is going to take time, leadership, resources and strong political skills.

Our candidate must have a plan and be talking about it every day.

I do NOT think health 'care' plans should be featured aspect; think how long it took ACA to be developed.

there should be three major projects to start with:

1) Fire all the political appointees immediately, starting with Bill Barr. They have to clean out their desks and are off the premises by COB on Jan. 21, 2021. That means the president-elect will have to decide on new agency heads before taking office.

2) Before taking office, make a list of Trump executive orders to rescind immediately (which is probably all of them).

3) As soon as the new AG is appointed and confirmed (or maybe an acting AG could do this), review all DoJ litigation in progress or pending and dismiss all the cases opposing immigrants and environmental protection and in favor of Christian-favoring "religious freedom."

That would at least be a good start.

All the promises in the world won't be worth shit as long as McTurtle's in charge of the Senate.

somehow that doesn't stop the candidates from proposing things.

it's quite possible that the right proposals/promises would make taking back the senate easier.

except for confirming cabinet secretaries - but if Trump could use just "acting" secretaries, why couldn't the next president, until they are confirmed? The other things could be done immediately upon taking office and would make a huge difference right away.

This is why I support Joe Biden. The only other person who could do this better than anyone else including Vice President Joe Biden is Joe Kennedy III.

9. Joe Kennedy III is a rookie - he couldn't handle this mess. Maybe someday,

but not now. Biden probably is the person with the most relevant experience and foreign policy creds. That's not to say the others couldn't do it, but his experience as VP, as well as years in the Senate and its important committees, really suits him as the cleanup guy.

of the best to join his leadership team and career officials who left would give anything to work in a Kennedy administration. His legacy is represented by one of the best moments in American history.

Trump and Putin would be petrified of a Kennedy run. Absolutely petrified.
