About a year ago, Biden gave Bush a medal and a shirt.

Video of Joe Biden telling George W. Bush in November 2018 that he’s going to give him a medal and also a Philadelphia Eagles shirt:

I couldn't imagine anything worse than Bush. Until Trump showed up.

In genuine defense of Biden, he's trying to win over the middle, exhausted independent voters who would love to have Bush back. It's a reasonable and perhaps essential strategy.

But Trump is seeking to end American democracy and create an American political system controlled by the Russian mafia through the Republicans Party.

So, there isnt much comparison.

... because Bush was HORRIBLE as President. He was stupid, selfish, manipulative, dangerous. He let Dick Cheney run wild and caused untolled death, economic damage and pain. He helped build the political framework that lead to Mitch McConnell and Trump.

All of that is true.

And still, Trump is exponentially worse.

We are teetering on the verge of a collapsed Democracy controlled by a collection of violent white-supremacists, criminally corrupt politicians, cartoonishly evil billionaires, and religious extemists.

Drawing any sincere equivilancy between today and the Bush era is .... dangerously naive.
