Morning Joe was pushing Bloomberg big time--edited to add link

Last edited Fri Nov 8, 2019, 10:58 AM - Edit history (1)

this am. Turned it on for about 10 minutes while eating breakfast. Joe, Willie and Donny salivating at the thought of Bloomberg as the real billionaire with likability taking on the fake crazy orange traitor billionaire. They loved his $$ and timing for the primaries.

No discussion about a platform or ideas or policies, just all about $$.

Damn. This country really has become all about $$.

Here's a review of his time as Mayor of NYC for those who haven't followed him.

They also want a filthy rich white man for president preferably one of the Christian persuasion. A man much like them who thinks stealing from those less fortunate in a rigged economy is somehow devine.

Policy? Policy is for the masses of poor people they have stolen from. Those poor folks need decent policy to keep from falling into total abject poverty. But the filthy rich don't need policy. They just want everything to stay the same. Exactly the same with shorty Putin, the richest man in the world, pulling the strings in the background

They are actually just fine with the orange blob and his Slovenian sex worker representing our once proud nation. They get a tax giveaway. The nation falls into huge debt and they run off to their off grid mansion in New Zealand to avoid the coming climate catastrophe they got rich creating. It's a win win ....for the filthy rich.

Success in business does not usually translate well into success in government. They are very different entities.

quite effective, crossing Dem and Republican lines. He's a very pragmatic guy. Was willing to switch parties when he ran for Mayor as a Republican--but had been registered as a Dem. Pro choice, pro marriage equality. Opposed Roberts for Supreme Court Justice.

He's definitely an interesting candidate with government experience.

Expect GOP/Putin funded 3rd party run by others just like in 2016.

ONLY possible way if democrats and independents learned nothing from 2016

ability to spend not only much more on his campaign than any of the other Democrats, but much more than Trump.

So Bloomberg can afford to advertise not only all over California, for instance, but all over Texas.

They pointed out that if he wanted to, Bloomberg could spend, out of his own money, 20 times as much as Trump and the RNC are likely to have for the Trump re-election campaign.

I hate thinking of campaigning done this way. I want to see campaign finance reform, and I like Biden's plans for it.

But I have to admit that if it ever came down to a choice between Trump and Bloomberg, I'd vote for Bloomberg rather than stay home or vote third party.

I just hope we never have to make that choice.

And I felt the same way.

If we took the money out of elections by limiting the primary time and confined candidates to government funding, we'd have a much different election season.

Everything is about size of bankroll and advertising with the way things are set up now.

If he spends his entire fortune , he will still not win ..He believes Biden is fading...I can't find much data to back up his belief …….. He will hurt the chances of moderates like Joe and Mayor Pete ……...
