A POTUS candidate hired this person who, by virtue of being their political operative while continuing to write, without disclosing that, was violating journalistic ethics.
A POTUS candidate was the person initiating and perpetuating the arrangement. Imagine if Hillary had done that in 2016.
The journalist not only failed to disclose that he was a political operative, he balfaced denied that he was working for the candidate, accusing people who pointed that that he was a political operative of being "a filthy liar" and "mentally incapacitated".

His hiring as a speechwriter also appears to be an acknowledgment that Sanders, whose extemporaneous public remarks have been a sign of his authenticity, will at times be scripted like other politicians." - from the WAPO article.

(16,950 posts)those who responded to him would have that portion saved on their tweets, kind of like any posting on a thread archives the entire string.
Someone will uncover these.

(146,286 posts)them all. I don't have the time. That he deleted 20,000 tweets is plenty of information for me. Why would someone do that? I think we all know the answer to that.
But, they'll come out, as needed. I'm sure there are people going though them all already.

(16,950 posts)to unearth a few, but I would bet hes made himself a target now by doing this. I think he called people filthy liars for questioning when he really started working on Sanders campaign, so Im sure that was an invitation for some skilled internet types to check him out.
I agree in a way that just the act of deleting 20,000 of them is quite enough information in itself.

(31,261 posts)They exist, but you will have to search for where they are archived. He may have successfully deleted some that were not archived and they are gone unless someone that follow him saved them, but that number is likely very small.
