MSNBC apologizes for "inadvertently" leaving Yang off of another graphic

For like the 20th time.

How is it possible for anyone to believe this is accidental?

Here's the list of examples that Scott Santens compiled.

They are either incredibly lazy and sloppy (which is hardly a surprise) or this is deliberate. My money would be on the former, but the latter is not beyond the realm of possibility.

Yang doesn't seem to fit into the Cable Infotainment Media Horse Race Model and I just don't think they have any idea how to handle his ideas which are about 3 steps ahead of everyone else.

I wonder how much time he'll be allowed to speak at the debate Wednesday night.

He's usually at or near the bottom, despite polling above just under half the people on the stage.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that so many here are so dismissive of this. It's easy to lump him in with Williamson or Steyer if you're intellectually lazy and don't bother looking into why he has more donors, more $ from small donations, raised almost money as Biden last quarter, etc.

Still, disappointing.

Yang isn't anywhere near the top tier anyhow, and has no chance of getting there, so what could their motive possibly be?

Do we have to jump straight to ascribing a motive and therefore ignore the fact that it's actually happening and that it's unquestionably wrong unfair?

(and I can't think of a reason why, since Yang doesn't pose a threat to any candidate that MSNBC might be suspected of favoring), it would definitely be unfair. But if it was accidental but happened on more than one occasion, it might be just that the functionaries who put these graphics together lost track of the myriad of minor candidates. That's sloppy and negligent.

Somebody compiled a list of candidates for a graphic illustration and inadvertently left Yang out. Subsequent graphics were cut-and-paste versions of the first one with the numbers changed but not the list, and nobody noticed Yang was missing, or if they did, it didn't get to the graphics department. It's odd otherwise that it happened so often; I just can't think of any reason why they would have done it deliberately.
