Be a clear and concise differentiation between the GOP and our Party.

Shut down completely the "both parties are the same" nonsense from Libertarians , Greens, etc etc.

Someone on DU said yesterday there were old videos of him on Youtube. Couldn't find the post, so I did this search:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=BUTTIGIEG

I watched an impromptu tv interview when he was running for Treasurer? of the state and his TED talk on South Bend, etc.

This guy is no flash in the pan. He's been the impressive way he is for a long time.

I have a lot more study to do of several of the candidates. It is going to take me a bunch of time. I'm in no hurry. All I can say at this point is this man is zooming up my list. I said this a couple of days ago: every time I see him, I like him more. It still stands.

We must focus on who can win the Electoral College. I lean left, but I'm not stupid. Focus who can beat trump. I know a lot of folks don't want to hear this, but it's not normal times folks. Keep that in mind.

All the candidates support the Democratic Party Platform and have similar views on the issues. There are some differences, but generally speaking, they all support our ideology and positions on issues.

The biggest thing is winning. It doesn't matter how good your ideas are, if you don't win.

I'm looking for a natural leader, a force of personality. Someone with experience who is fast on his/her feet and take Trump punches, and hand plenty of his/her own right back. Winning is what it's about!

Some of the Democrats in the race have almost no chance of winning. They know it and are only in the race for their own reasons...raising their national profile, getting some national campaign experience, hoping their name is in the pot for V.P., a springboard to running for Congress. I think Buttegieg is in this category. As are some others.

The polls right now are meaningless. Who will emerge as the viable candidates? I think Biden (if he enters), Beto, Harris, Sanders, Warren. Those are for sure. Maybe a couple of others that I can't think of right now. I like Gov Inslee, but he's so low key that... well, he's low key. We'll see.
