Democratic establishment reaches boiling point with Tulsi Gabbard

By BURGESS EVERETT and MARIANNE LEVINE
11/21/2019 05:07 PM EST

Tulsi Gabbard trashed the Democratic Party as “not the party that is of, by and for the people,” accused Kamala Harris of trafficking in “lies and smears and innuendo” and attacked Pete Buttigieg as naive.

Her performance at Wednesday’s debate earned an attaboy from the Trump War Room. And some rank-and-file Democrats are at wit's end with the congresswoman who Hillary Clinton called “the favorite of the Russians.”

“The question is whether she seriously hopes to be the nominee or if she has another agenda … her attacks on other candidates and her positions on issues seem very personal, not so much about a set of policies or worldview,” said Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.). Bernie Sanders has “a coherent set of principles. Elizabeth Warren’s the same. I don’t perceive a fixed set of principles or worldview on her part.”

the opposition, there's clearly something wrong here. The democratic party should kick her out, being that she is being especially disrespectful to other democratic nominees and the party.

3. I think she knows, she is playing her hand as requested by her donors. She needs to be investigated.

She is a tool, and she has embraced that role very well. Power corrupts, and her hopes for absolute power are high, she dreams of being absolutely corrupt.

Her Dad is a legislator in Hawaii and was a big anti-gay organizer. Republican turned Democrat when he figured out he was never going to have any power as one of a tiny few.

They organized a gigantic rally at the capitol and hounded out a few good legislators who wouldn't vote to restrict rights for gay people. It's been a long time and I don't remember the bill they were advocating for but it was something about defining marriage to exclude gay people.

She was young then but active.

campaign ads that something was off. No wonder she reminds me of Matt Gaetz somewhat, that she a child of a former republican legislator. A democratic representative in name only, eh?

So they say nepotism isn't out there (just saying this figuratively). These family dynasties should be banned, for I don't think they're really good for the Country and I don't think that the founding fathers intended such to occur, being that they didn't want royalty in any shape, form, or fashion in government. These dynasties seem like royalty almost.

In Missouri, we have the Blunts and the Ashcrofts and probably other families here that seem to be in politics all of the time. And I'm sure that this happens in each and every state of the Union. I just think that it's not really good for effective governance that these family dynasties occur.

Some other methods should be used to pick more effective representatives for governing, after all, when a corporation or company goes out to the marketplace to find a CEO or other position, they find the best person for the job. Government should do this too, and a lot of towns do this already, by hiring 'city managers' or the like to actually run the city government. In this of environment, the actual skills and qualifications of the people actually do count.

From your link..

Demonstrating how divisive her campaign has become, the Trump War Room tweeted out a video clip of Gabbard attacking her own party with a “100” emoji. It received 4,500 retweets and 15,000 likes.

“She sort of seems to be filling a pretty strange lane. Is there a part of the party that hates the party?” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.). “It’s a little hard to figure out what itch she’s trying to scratch in the Democratic Party right now.”

The Hawaii congresswoman’s presence on the debate stage is becoming a headache for the party as she uses the platform to appeal to isolationists, dissatisfied liberals and even conservatives. She has managed to secure a spot on the debate stage as more mainstream candidates like Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) and Gov. Steve Bullock (D-Mont.) failed to meet polling and donor thresholds to participate.

Earlier this year, Gabbard authored an op-ed that suggested Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) went too far in questioning a Trump judicial nominee, without naming Hirono. When asked about Gabbard's candidacy Thursday, Hirono paused and squinted.
"Look at my face," she said. "I have nothing to say about Tulsi Gabbard."

Given Gabbard’s obvious play to appear at war with the party establishment, several senators declined to discuss her candidacy — before panning her privately. She has awkward relationships with the Hawaii congressional delegation and faced a primary challenge before saying she wouldn’t run for reelection.

Good going gabbard.. ya got the trump war room pumping you up..

Yay, Senator Mazie Hirono!
