2020 Presidential Candidate Joe Biden meets with Southern Mayors

From CBS42 in Birmingham -- video of the story and a photo of the meeting at the link:

ATLANTA, Ga. – (WIAT/AP) Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden met with several mayors from across the south while he was in Atlanta Thursday, including Birmingham mayor Randall Woodfin.

Thursday’s meeting is a signal of the importance of black voters to Biden’s bid for the Democratic nomination.

Woodfin said he appreciated the conversation with Biden which focused on issues dealing with housing, criminal justice and health care.

“He spoke from the heart,” Woodfin said.

love to pounce on. It is a communication gift, the ability to convey deep sincerity, that few in public life possess. Yes, Biden’s rivals do at times speak with passion, rise to an occasion, but Biden consistently connects with audiences and individuals emotionally. He is a powerful and effective communicator because of this ability. You just can’t fake it. From the heart to the heart.
