Fri Nov 22, 2019, 06:49 PM
Nov 2019

and both times Bernie and Elizabeth were my two top results. Biden was third in one of them, and those three candidates I actively don’t want to choose. Harris and Klobuchar are the two I’m leaning tuu I wards the most, and neither are near the top of my results. I think that my thinking is that Joe’s past his prime, and Bernie and Liz are to left you beat Donald. I think Klobuchar’s steady demeanor and sorta middle ground appeal will sway more independents. If it weren’t so utterly crucial to oust Trump, I would be more likely to support Bernie, I did last time, heartily. But I don’t think he can beat trump, and that is the number one issue for me.

authoritarian, like the typical RW fascistic type. If Trump was on it, I'd have been a maga.

I've always been left of Joe on a bunch of things. But he's a solid egalitarian liberal, and we're all together on the big stuff. To me how to write a federal law legalizing marijuana is a detail, inviolability of equality and civil rights is not, so what matters is that it stops the funneling of citizens merely exercising their right to happiness without harming anyone else into prison. Anyway, it's congress that writes the laws and decides the vast majority of details.

Mostly this test seems ridiculous because somehow character and competence, even ideology, are completely lost. Gabbard rubbing shoulders with Klobuchar, Sanders with Biden. If Putin was on it, he'd be showing up as an alternative to Williamson and Harris. Beyond absurd.

I answered every single expandable question, which became somewhat exhausting, but my top three became Delaney, Yang and Gabbard in that order. I'm voting for Warren though, since I believe she's the one of the ones with an actual shot at the nomination who has the best chance of beating Trump. A vote for Delaney would be a throwaway vote, regardless of any qualities he may have (which admittedly for this reason alone I haven't exactly read up on.)

universal healthcare, etc. So I'm guessing some of the rather bizarre "alternatives" (Williamson OR Yang? ) suggest choices are based very largely on issue positions rather than ideology or personal character and records.

They also asked how much importance you placed on the questions asked. No doubt that effects the results too. I wonder how many candidates or survey takers even bothered with that part? Plus not everyone would have the patience to answer all the questions. I did but it got to be a bit of a slog to get through.

and I'll go with the candidate with the best chance of doing that. They might not be the one most closely aligned with my personal beliefs but I don't care. Get a Democrat elected first so Trump's mess can be cleaned up.
