It doesn't amaze me either. Democratic Socialism.

Both are disingenuous in wrapping themselves in the mantle of a progressive-capitalist free-trading anti-populist interventionist-internationalist, who sought to enter the fight against international fascism while the socialists of his day called him a plutocratic corporatist and a war monger, while they appeased Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo.

Labour would be the ruling party in the UK today if they had not gone way-off-the-rails and made Jeremy Corbyn the leader.

Let's not make the same mistake.

Too much at stake.

That would be Neville Chamberlain's Tories ('peace in our time'), Oswald Mosley's Blackshirts, and Willie Gallacher's Communists.

UK Labour has a long, proud record in opposing fascism and totalitarianism.

As a party we have always been defined by our internationalism. We believe we have a responsibility one to another. We never have and we never should walk by on the other side of the road. We are faced by fascists—not just their calculated brutality, but their belief that they are superior to every single one of us in this Chamber tonight and all the people we represent. They hold us in contempt. They hold our values in contempt. They hold our belief in tolerance and decency in contempt. They hold our democracy—the means by which we will make our decision tonight—in contempt.

What we know about fascists is that they need to be defeated. It is why, as we have heard tonight, socialists, trade unionists and others joined the International Brigade in the 1930s to fight against Franco. It is why this entire House stood up against Hitler and Mussolini. It is why our party has always stood up against the denial of human rights and for justice.

Nor were the Democrats led by a Democratic Socialist.

The Socialist Party in America, led by Norman Thomas was against America entering the fight against international fascism prior to Pearl Harbor, much to their enduring shame.

My guess is this will be Corbyn’s last rodeo. He’s helped to ensure that BoJo is going to be PM for a long time to come. It’s a disaster, really.

I’m American, man, I’m American. “Fuck all these fucking foreigners. I’m American!” You’re like, “Hey, calm the fuck down.” There was a lot of accepted racism when the war started. “I’m American. Fuck all these foreigners.” And that was cool. Then it was, “I’m American. Fuck the French.” That was cool. “I’m American. Fuck all these Arabs.” And that was cool. Then they went to, “I’m American. Fuck all these illegal aliens.” Then I started listening. Cos I know niggers and Jews is next. It’s like, any day now! That train’s never late! Chris Rock.

I suspect that will become clear Dec 10 as the Johnson era truly dawns. It’s possible Brexit is such a disaster it takes him down in the end but more likely, BoJo is probably going to be PM for a long time to come.

Once the consequences of Brexit hit the British public fullsquare, he will be lucky to leave 10 Downing without being tarred and feathered. I give his 3 years after Brexit to be ruined and gone from public sight for good. I doubt that he will get the trade deals that he imagines will be coming. What really does Great Britain offer sans it's place as the English speaking part of the EU (a unique spot that Ireland is gladly stepping into)?

Corbyn in an ideologue who seem to secretly by against immigration, the driver of Brexit.

Johnson will surely go down in history as one of the worst PMs in British history, as Corbyn as one of the weakest Labour leaders in British history.

Bernie is not disingenuous ...Or he has been putting on an act for a helluva long time ………. In 2017 , Corbyn brought in new voters, particularly young people , and Labour outperformed the polls by 10% ...Jeremy's Labour Party gained over 30 seats from 2015 when Labour was lead by the bland centrist , Ed Miliband .. ...Bernie is already ahead of Trump by around 6%..Those polls don't take into account the new people he will bring into the Democratic fold if we are smart enough to nominate him … Bernie turned a Moderate GOP state into one of the bluest states in the Union …...He gets a big chunk of the GOP vote and is one of the most popular senators in his home state ………….
