Will Tom Steyer be the first casualty of Bloomberg getting in the race?

At 3%, Bloomberg in already ahead of Steyer in the latest poll, simply on name recognition. Bloomberg has hands-on experience in a government leadership position, Steyer has none.

If your claim to fame is your wealth, how do you go up against a guy much wealthier than you?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He still needs to meet the donor requirement, but he is expected to do that.

Steyer has been focusing mainly on the early states, whereas Bloomberg has essentially bypassed them. They have two separate strategies, basically.

Meaning he will not qualify for any debates until the DNC changes their requirements for participating in debates.

Being a billionaire is something the media (and his competitors) like to talk about. Bloomberg's billions make Steyer look like just another wealthy guy- it could be to Steyer's benefit. Bloomberg foregoing the debate stage means he will be attacked without the immediate opportunity to respond. Steyer has also moved into the climate-first space left open by Inslee's departure.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
