Related: About this forumNew SurveyUSA NATIONAL poll: Biden has nearly twice the support of his nearest rival
SurveyUSA ran two separate polls, one not including Bloomber and Patrick, and one including them.
The poll without those two latecomers included:
Biden 32%, Sanders 17%, Warren 16%, Buttigieg 12%, Harris 5%, Yang 4%, Klobuchar & Booker & Gabbard & Steyer 2%, all others 1% or less
The poll including Bloomberg and Patrick:
Biden 30%, Sanders 17%, Warren 15%, Buttigieg 11%, Harris 5%, Yang 4%, Bloomberg 3%, Booker & Klobuchar & Steyer 2%, all others 1% or less. Deval Patrick at 1%.
So in the second version of the poll, Bloomberg and Patrick get a total of 4%. Biden loses 2%, and Warren and Buttigieg both lose 1%.
But that still leaves Biden with about as much support as his two closest rivals combined.

(1,812 posts)Joe is solidly ahead of the Pack The sample with regard to age is spot on ...Amongst African- Americans : Biden 49% Bernie 16% Warren 8% I wish Bernie was doing a little better than that .This is the 3rd post- debate national poll showing Elizabeth at 15% ..The Quinnipiac Poll showing Mayor Pete at 16 % appears to be bogus; although he is clearly on a steady rise nationwide .

(5,223 posts)I think as he gains more attention he'll come under much more scrutiny. Voters will be looking more at his qualifications and experience, not so much on likability. His lack of national experience will bring his numbers way down and boost Biden's. This is not Pete's fault. He may well be ready in the future but he is not ready right now for the most powerful position in the world.

(8,144 posts)candidate for the most powerful position in the world, as you so aptly remind us. If they do, this
contest is a no-brainer. Bidens resume, a recent one(2008-2016), is unmatched by any other candidate running.
