Taking the Boards current temperature.

For those with a stated preference, please state who your second choice is.
For those that are Undecided, please state if you have several that you are leaning towards.
Thanks.
Go Dems, bring on another Blue wave 🌊 in 2020!

FYI...My second choice is Biden. (Heart with Warren, Head with Biden).

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Warren is still my favorite.
Then Pete Buttigieg, just about tied with Biden and Klobuchar.

I like Michael Bennet a lot but he's toast.

i was at jan schakowsky's holiday party last week. i had a chance to talk to her hubs a bit, bob creamer, a great dem strategist.
they are on team ew. but i told him i was loving the crowded field. all the different idea, pov's, and all out there, getting face time on my teevee, and bashing trump. he agreed, w a large smile on his face.

i like yang, castro, klobachar, booker especially.

i even enjoy seeing tom steyer and bloomie out there spending their money to take it all down, tho i wouldnt vote for either in a primary.

I'll admit my heart is with Sanders, though. I'm a Socialist and would love for him to be our first openly doctrinaire Socialist President. However, that said, I really want Trump out at all costs in 2020 and I just don't think it's possible for him to win the Democratic Party nomination.

Behind Biden, he polls better in the battleground states than the rest.

Winning the battlegrounds = >270 electoral votes. That’s what matters, that’s what will remove trump.

First I think most everyone can beat Trump. So that is less of problem. So I'm more concerned with Power. Getting it, Using it, and as important Retaining it, long enough to matter with the massive problems we have. Not an individual's power but progressive power.
That means down ballot and 2022. Which is why I'm on my candidate.

But we are fortunate that we have Pelosi so my second choice is dependent on her. Right now that would be Warren or Biden.
Biden because he is basically a follower, but has the ability to choose the right people to follow at the right time in general. Warren because she is smart enough to know what she doesn't know, and will be pushing the House in a more progressive direction, but allow Pelosi to do the maneuvering.

My second choice will be the democrat who builds most momentum during the nomination process.

Reason being, it hurts the overall democratic cause to back a candidate who has no path to winning the nomination. We will not be sure who this person may be until the primaries start happening.

And as much as I like Liz, she would be a problematic general election candidate as well.
