If you have not seen him live, it is worth the time...watch and make an informed decision on his candidacy...

Getting ready to select him as my #1. Am now with Inslee, but he may be a better Cabinet choice the more I see Mayor Pete.

When I listen to him talk, I hear ideas that we can apply right now to move ahead. I don't hear that from anyone else.

I still like Inslee and was hoping he would take off, but Buttigieg has such a strong media presence that it makes him a better candidate. Maybe some other year Inslee would be better, but against Trump you need to be a great communicator or you'll drown in his noise.

I have only read about Pete Buttigieg and what he has had to say, I would be interested in hearing his thoughts in his own voice. When he first announced, I figured that he was just another wunderkind overachiever who was trying to get publicity for a future run at the job, but the more I've observed his campaign, the more I think he's in it for the brass ring.

Besides, while my initial thought was, "Pete, you're a nice enough guy, but become Senator from or Governor of Indiana before you go for the big job," but let's face it, at this point, he might not have that chance. Politicians always say, "Elect me for (fill in the blank), and that's the job I want!" while playing footsie with questions about eventually running for higher office.

If you're the mayor of a medium sized city, and you toss your hat into the presidential ring, you won't be able to be coy about future ambitions when running for Senator or Governor should you lose either the nomination or the presidency. It's a bold move on Buttigieg's part, and it seems to lend urgency and sincerity to his campaign.

It's like jumping out of an airplane, needing to have full 100% confidence in the person who packed your parachute.

I have to say, he did not stutter or stammer around, that was one of the stylistic things about President Obama that bothered me a little bit. He seemed to be able to handle a couple of tough questions, I'm with those who feel he will shine in his first debate.

O'Donnell did devote what I thought was too much time on the pronunciation of Pete's surname, but I did learn something. While Pete did use the boot-edge-edge that I've seen, he also tossed out there "Buddha-judge", which may be more memorable, and seems to be easier to say.

He did come down squarely on a number of progressive ideas, and articulated them well.

The only thing that jarred me was seeing (in motion this time!) how young he was! President Obama was younger than me by about seven years, but Pete is younger than two of my children! I guess I would have to get over that, and just accept him as somebody who is clearly smart and moral enough to be president, and that is good enough for me.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
