How are you polling with black folk is a snipe.

Amy has been stuck in the senate during a crucial period of time when she was starting to rise in the polls. She over performed anyway in Iowa, and had a great debate as witnesses by pundits and undecided voters. But the moderates in her lane got to stay in Iowa The Whole time if they wanted.

Most of America hasn’t considered her because she didn’t have $ and the time with multiple candidates. She is just getting a chance now, as the field narrows.

If you have praised Amy tonight, great. I just thought your comment was dismissive. She hasn’t had a real chance before tonight to get America’s attention.

Lets just take it down a notch.

FWIW I thought Biden did what he needed to tonight.

relationships with AA communities and leaders over the years, get involved with their issues tend to earn AA voter support. This support is not only based on perceived electability, but to a great extent on trust. Candidates who see AA voters and their issues on their radar are seen in return.

White politicians have to work at it. I know Warren is trying now, learning. Amy isn’t being seen yet. She will have to get involved, listen, and learn, make mistakes, and keep on learning.

Too many discover AA folks when they need their votes.

Joe Lockhart finally said on aside, "Amy Klobuchar...who I thought was superb...consistently the best all night..."

In the background you could hear David Axelrod say, "We haven't talked about her yet."

No kidding. That's why it is so difficult to gain traction. I was going nuts when CNN led off with all the spats between the so-called frontrunners.

Sat Feb 8, 2020, 12:28 AM
Feb 2020

Interviewed by Dana Bash and Erin Burnett.

Amy didn't back down on the criticism of Pete. She said his cartoon comment really did bother her, that it was like a gut punch. She continued by saying Pete's comments were degrading.

There was also quite a bit of discussion about the Democratic socialist moment tonight, where Amy was the only one to raise her hand. When asked about it, why she was the only one to raise her hand, Amy said it was because, "people don't want to piss other people off on the debate stage."

Doesn't do it for me, but i won't begrudge you. Amy was very cogent on the reasons we need alliances now and in the future WRT trade, climate, and national security. She displayed the relationships she's built within the party up there, and that can't be discounted. I thought Bernie was great regarding trump and the dangerous precedent set by the Senate GOP, but the rest was a version of his stump speech IMO.
