If I lived in New York or California or somewhere like that, I would straight up leave the Presidential part of my ballot blank. I can't say that for any other viable candidate. I can vote for any of the others and have a clear conscience. Voting for Bloomberg for President would feel like voting for Joe Lieberman or Joe Manchin.

But I live in Ohio and Obama won here twice, it can happen again. So I will vote for him if he is the nominee and then I'll go home and drink.

But if we do, it would only demonstrate that our party would have impeached and removed a Democrat if she had done the same things Trump has. Because we would be handing the presidency over to a Republican in order to save the country. And it’s not a knock on Bloomberg. He knows the threat Trump poses and is offering an option.

regarding many programs beyond 9/11 bioterrorism and national security, scubas No Child Left Behind.

https://nymag.com/nymetro/news/politics/national/features/9268/

Each February, a team of Bloomberg’s wonks scours the Bush budget to figure out how bad its impact will be on the city. In April, the mayor releases the fruit of that process, a thick, richly detailed book that outlines New York City’s agenda in Washington. This obscure 300-page document is the bible for understanding how the Bush administration treats the city. Every federal issue of importance to New York is described along with a comparison of how the Bush administration and Congress plan to treat it. The book sometimes reads as if it were written by the Democratic National Committee. On issue after issue, the Bloomberg administration, sometimes in withering language, describes how Bush’s proposals are bad for New York. One of the most common phrases appearing in the book is “Position: Oppose.” It crops up again and again when summarizing the Bloomberg response to Bush policies.

The above article has a wealth of information. I myself remember front page stories on how some 9/11 monies meant for NY were going to places far away. Schumer was less perturbed by 9/11 allocations than was Bloomberg who had major complaints about social program allocations as well.

If he's going to run, he must participate in future debates. Let there be some accountability here. Since the media is obviously unwilling to do so, let the other candidates challenge him on his past in front of an national audience. No one should be entitled to just cruise control it through a Presidential primary unchallenged, not even someone with his billions.

Democrats (most of them anyway) are going to vote against Trump if he's running against a ham sandwich, and couldn't a speech at the GOP convention persuade a few Republicans--especially never-Trumpers--to go out and vote for Bloomberg? I'd have thought that a candidate who'd been a Republican in the past would make conservative voters a little more comfortable than even a consistently centrist Democrat.

But like I said, I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet, so I don't know how bad it looks for him.
