Related: About this forumWhy does MSNBC keep putting Michael Moore on?
He was on The Last Word tonight and it is the third show he was on this week. Why?

I'm getting really sick of their hyping the primaries like it's a horse race or football game.

(1,773 posts)He doesn't toe any lines or compromise his principles. He speaks his mind and is passionate about what he believes. People here may not like him anymore because of that, but it's precisely those qualities that make him interesting and even refreshing to listen to.

(2,657 posts)that he posted around the end of July 2016, you will see that he was spot on not just about that Trump would win, but about exactly which states Trump would win in to give him the victory and exactly which voters he would woo to get that win (working class voters).
[link:https://michaelmoore.com/trumpwillwin/|]
Michael Moore talks to voters all the time and interacts with them through his website, so he does have a some understanding of certain voters. However, this does not make him perfect. Many people have been correct about one election and wrong the next. Over the past few months, I've seen him claim both that Trump will win reelection and that Democrats should be supporting Bernie Sanders. If Trump is going to win no matter what, why does it matter who we support?
I suspect that one of the reasons Michael Moore is on MSNBC is because he supports Bernie Sanders, and they are trying to balance out the other people on MSNBC who do not seem to support Bernie Sanders.

(2,657 posts)He knew lots of working-class people that had voted Democratic in the past and in 2016 were planning to vote for Trump. This distressed him greatly, and it is why he wrote the "Trump is going to win" article. He was trying to warn people of what he thought was highly likely to happen. If he did not talk about Russian interference, he may not have known much about it before the 2016 election.

(9,446 posts)Apart from his documentaries, his show "The Awful Truth" was a top-rating television show around the world in the 1990's. Moore goes way back with the progressive movement, and probably continues to meet more people in the flesh than most cable talking heads ever do.
If Carville is worth having on television, Michael Moore is even more relevant.

(9,903 posts)... Moore is now all in for Bernie... The hosts favoring Bernie will want him on... and the NBC corp favoring a Socialist Democrat for the ratings war like him, too!

(14,176 posts)and neither of them supports BS for the nomination. LO'D hasn't said "I support X," but it's pretty obvious he liked Sen Harris earlier and now seems to be behind either Sen Warren or Sen Klobuchar.

(9,903 posts)... Bernie or Elizabeth. I think you may be more accurate, tho... Chris Hayes seems pro-Bernie, and I assumed he'd had Moore on his show.... I wonder who Chris Matthews is for... after he said Bush gave him a "tingle" in his thigh, I thought it may be he just says stuff to get attention.

Notice how the NRA has been almost bankrupt since Trump became president?
