Bloomberg pulls out of tonight's CNN Town Hall

Anderson Cooper said that Bloomberg told CNN that he was not doing Town Hall to instead concentrate on debate prep.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I hope all those people fooled by Bloomberg's glitzy ads come back home to Biden when Super Tuesday rolls around. Bloomberg seems very much like a smoke and mirrors candidate, with his main appeal coming from those who he employs to make professional ads and run his social media efforts.

EDIT: The debate is tomorrow, right? They should offer to move his town hall to a later date, after the debate then. I somehow think this is more of him wanting to avoid questions from voters rather than simply debate prep.

Really, I thought it would have been a smart move not to participate in the last debate.

"We need to focus on the dire crisis facing this country, and I'm working to build a coalition that will help me do that. Unfortunately, the debates are the wrong arena to do that. These are not ordinary times." I don't know - something like that.

A lose-lose situation so he might as well just go in and take his licks, given that he hasn't been in a debate since 2009, and hopefully improve in the 2nd one.

16. He shouldn't participate in the next one, either
Mon Feb 24, 2020, 10:17 PM

Instead, he should just bombard every media in every state with wall to wall ads proclaiming himself as the best thing since sliced bread. So he drops 500 million. Or even a billion. Pocket change to him, and he doesn’t have to answer any questions. Not answering questions works! Just ask our current president.

6. "Concentrate on debate prep"
Mon Feb 24, 2020, 09:21 PM

i.e. Memorize concisely fabricated 'explanations' and deflections for a litany of transgressions and a documented history of egregious behavior.

There is also probably a fair amount of walking-in-circles-whilst-wishing to be done with regards to himself being placed next to Warren again.

10. Do you think Warren is going to drop out after Super Tuesday?
Mon Feb 24, 2020, 09:28 PM
Feb 2020

I've read she's done well in many of the debates held so far but that hasn't translated to wins. Her placing in IA, NH, and NV were in the single digits and it's predicted she'll do the same in SC. I don't see a single Super Tuesday state where she has the chance to win except for her home state and even there she's trailing Sanders.

And it is a fact that many believe that Warren has done well in several of the previous debates but it also is a fact that very good performances in the debates has not translated to wins or even good showings for her in the first 3 states and it looks like the election in SC will be a continuation of that streak.

So maybe he didn’t cancel it but instead moved it from Monday to Wednesday after Tuesday’s debate?
If so, that’s probably a wise move.
He REALLY needs the debate practice time.
