5. Another prophesy. Simple as that.
('it does not follow' is a logical fallacy we should all become acquainted with so as not to appear less informed than we may otherwise allege)

yet never provide objective evidence to support it.

11. False.
Your assertion is nonsense. They didn't start until 1984 and have never influenced a race. The closest was in 1984 when Mondale was reported by some news agencies to already have the 1,967 delegates he needed, but called another 40 to ensure that he had a majority. He won on the first ballot.

There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans.

20. I don't think even Sanders knows who he's talking about.
Not specifically, anyway. It's just a vague, meaningless term thrown out to get a specific reaction from a specific audience. From what some of his supporters say, it includes pretty much everyone but Bernie and a few others, which makes the term even more useless.

13. THAT'S NOT what this Business Insider story says
Here's what it actually says:
"The concerns of some vulnerable House Democrats aren't unfounded. In 2018, after all, voters strongly expressed their dislike of the incumbent president Trump by voting out their Republican representatives in favor of Democrats. "And no vulnerable House Democrats have endorsed Sanders — those that have endorsed are backing more moderate candidates including former VP Joe Biden and former Mayors Mike Bloomberg and Buttigieg. " 'South Carolinians don't want socialism,' Rep. Joe Cunningham, a Democrat who flipped a Republican seat in South Carolina, recently told the Post & Courier ahead of the state's Saturday primary. 'Bernie's proposals to raise taxes on almost everyone is not something the Lowcountry wants and not something I'd ever support.' To put it simply, it's far too early to decisively declare whether or not a Sanders candidacy would be a killer for down-ballot Democrats and cost them control of entire legislative chambers." There you have it. At best, it says, it's too early. But several polls have shown a large majority of voters DO NOT want socialism, and Trump/Russia will make that synonymous with communism -- few voters know the difference, especially since communists call themselves socialists. With any other candidate, we may well increase our margin the House, take the Presidency and possibly win the Senate. With Sanders, we will undoubtedly lose the House, lose the Presidency and probably lose seats in the Senate. Remember: most Americans DON'T WANT SOCIALISM. The Cunningham comment is being echoed by many other Democratic House members, and would most likely lead to a drop in Democrats voting in those districts. In short, kiss this country's democracy and rule of law goodbye if Sanders is the nominee. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

17. Good word: Sabotage. I agree.
It's never been a secret that his "Our Revolution" group wants to "destroy" the Democratic party so that it can be rebuilt in His image. Same holds true for Cenk Uygur's "Just us Democrats".

Their support of him appears to be legitimate, for whatever reasons. Jake Lahut is a NH homer, so probably not surprising.

25. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy will be the next speaker come 2021
Kevin McCarthy also wants sanders to be the nominee
Link to tweet THE TUMULTUOUS POLITICAL CLIMATE has given fresh hope to REPUBLICANS, who were privately skeptical of TRUMP’S prediction that House Minority Leader KEVIN MCCARTHY will be the next speaker come 2021. Internal polling commissioned by the NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE showed that voters in districts targeted by both parties are skeptical of SANDERS -- his approval rating is 42%, and disapproval stands at 53% -- which they believe will help boost their candidates for the House. In these districts, voters prefer TRUMP, 48% to 43%. If SANDERS is atop the ticket, Republicans believe, they can credibly label every Democrat a socialist without fear of overreach. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
