Will any Super-Tuesday ballots be re-printed without Steyer's name?

Or will his presence on the ballots continue to benefit Sanders by unnecessarily peeling votes away from other more moderate and pragmatic candidates?

Or will the polling staff provide voters with a "correction sheet" or a printed notice of some sort that indicates which candidates are still in the race?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I guess we'd just consider those to be "protest votes" or the unavoidable "I don't know what's going on around me" vote from the ill-informed and under-informed voters.

Sigh.

This is one reason Harris dropped out when she did, she was facing the deadline to not have her name on CA ballot. She was polling in 3rd or worse in CA at the time and didn't want to be embarrassed.

Because he was pulling so few votes to begin with that it wouldn't matter in the end? Or is there some other thing that I hadn't considered?

If they registered and qualified to be on the ballot, they remain unless they officially ask to be excluded in time to meet printing deadlines. I believe only John Delaney did the latter in Colorado.

I plan to wait until the Friday before March 17 to vote. I have pretty much set my sights on voting for Joe, but I want to see what happens with him and Warren. I have ruled out Bloomberg from the mix, I want to see the person that I vote for win Florida by a big margin over Bernie, so I am not throwing away my vote.

wanted to see him show some fight in debates and at rallies, he did that and came back to the "Fightin Joe Biden" that people want to see. His performance in the SC debate and on voting day there is going to be a massive boost for him, it already has lifted his fundraising.

What does happen to their votes after Steyer and maybe a couple others drop out before March 17?
I can't say exactly how many was on the ballot in Ohio but guess at least 8 to 10 so probably half
of them will be eliminated by then and those votes won't count.

Sun Mar 1, 2020, 11:14 AM

that Sanders benefits from Steyer's name still being on the ballot.

I'm thinking Steyer is more to the left than the Biden/Klobuchar/Mayor Pete constituency. His name on the ballot is more likely to pull votes away from Sanders or Warren than from the moderates, IMO.

At any rate, I believe each state is in charge of their own primary, but I highly doubt that all of the primary states are going to reprint ballots with at 60 hour turn-around.

Earlier last week, I looked at the ballots for my state and there are candidates still listed that dropped out some time ago, including Harris, Booker, Bennet, Castro and Williamson. If they had to reprint the ballots every time someone dropped out, they wouldn't be able to afford to have an election.

person. I expect that a ton of his support will go to a Biden or Warren rather than to Bernie. I believe we saw that in South Carolina, when at crunchtime, people left him to vote for Biden. I expect to see a similar dynamic in Super Tuesday states relative to Bloomberg, a lot of his support will bleed of to Biden.
