There is no "corporate wing of the Democratic party"
It is made-up nonsense.

(54,770 posts)Thats the main reason I have issues with both candidates. Taxing the heck out of them, is OK, though.

(111,316 posts)pack up the shop, and take the jobs out of the country. Remember that the primary mission of a corporation is to build shareholder value--if the tax rate is substantially higher than elsewhere then it removes any incentive to remain in the country or remain open at all.
Sander has created a boogeyman out of corporations. The small businesses that Sanders prefers pay lower wages, are far more likelier to layoff employees during downturns, provide less training for their employees, are less likely to have retirement plans (such as pensions and 401ks), and may not be able to afford the technical advances that larger corporations can which means that they have to pass along higher costs to consumers.
I don't see anything progressive about putting people out of work by taxing corporations at extremely high rates. Reverse the tax breaks that Trump pushed through, reduce the loopholes, and make certain that all profitable corporations pay taxes while providing modest incentives for corporations to repatriate money from tax havens.

(1,656 posts)Because that will do lasting harm to our chances to unseat Donald Trump. Out of the entire field of Democrats there is 1 that Trump most wants to face in November and 1 he least wants to face. Both are at the top in delegate count right now.

(22,418 posts)And by people, I mean businesses you want to "shape" to do what you want them to so they "work for us?"
Does the definition of a business even fit that narrative? I'm going to suggest that you may be happier working for yourself than for some business that you have to shape.
Once you attack/shape something to "what we want it to be" doesn't that fundamentally change it? Is it really a business anymore? Doesn't it become your ideas that you are working for and not someone else's business?
And why attack? Does it have to be so confrontational? What about having a good old fashioned FTF chat?
