Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI will not vote in the primary...
I will not vote in the primary for any candidate or supporters of a candidate that sows division in my party. I will not vote for anyone that attacks Democrats on a daily basis and refuses to call out the true threat to our safety and well being.
Fact is Democrats are not the enemy, Trump is.

(3,845 posts)I want to know how each candidate plans to make sure their supporters all go to the polls to support whomever the Democrats nominate.I vote on March 17 and haven't made up my mind yet. My goal is to support candidates who are serious about seeing the Trump presidency end in January 2021 and who are going to make sure the nominee wins, even if it isn't them. I want to hear that from them more than just words on a page.

(493 posts)National popular vote:
1. Joe Biden: 325,296
2. Bernie Sanders: 260,625
Total Delegates:
1. Sanders: 56
2. Biden: 48
Super Tuesday delegates:
1. California: 415
2. Texas: 228
3. North Carolina: 110
4. Virginia: 99
5. Massachusetts: 91
6. Minnesota: 75
All States: 1357
Were likely heading to a brokered convention, so math is key. The majority of Americans agree that Trumps time in office has done more harm than good. Its important to watch the outcome of Super Tuesday before we make rash decisions. After that, we must make important decisions to best save America.

(111,253 posts)Most of the people on the debate stage agree with each other on a hell of a lot more than they disagree on.
I would hope after the last debacle that they get a little more civil about it.
My primary vote won't be until June and in a low population state, so it won't count. I'll cast one anyway.
Getting rid of the Orange BLob is the priority. I don't care if our nominee is well behaved or not. I will vote for a broken toaster, a flat bicycle tire or a dead ficus tree before I will ever vote GOP.

(102,234 posts)Some are frustrated that he doesn't always fight back with vehemence, but he's shown he will defend himself and the Obama record and he surely has and will do so with Trump. But, he does so with dignity and respect for his audience and the wider electorate. As a result, I find his campaign representatives less likely to divert to nasty messaging and that seems to be echoed in most or nearly all his supporters.
It is a dramatic difference that really distinguishes him from some he faces.

(34,169 posts)Bernie Sanders in this primary because when he criticizes the Democratic Party he speaks for many who want the Party to do better.
I cant vote for someone who voted with segregationists on Fed bussing, for expanded civil forfeiture laws, for allowing Bush to wage war in Iraq, and for protecting credit card companies over families, and now says oops, sorry.
Especially not over Elizabeth Warren.
