she'd make an great president, but if we can manage to win both the white house and the senate, she'd be *huuuuge* in the senate.

we'd get a *ton* of incredibly important things done with her in the senate. but if we can't win the senate, seeing her as president become vastly more compelling.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

and he has spent decades trashing the Democratic "establishment," which he joins only occasionally when he wants to run for president. I don't know how he expects to get anything at all through Congress, since obviously the GOP will continue to obstruct - and if he can't get the support of a majority of the Democrats whose nuts he's been kicking for all these years, he won't get anything done at all. Obviously Biden has both the experience and the positive connections to work with Congress - maybe even the odd GOPer.

That's why I'm for Joe. Too many concerns that Bernie will be inflexible and have his favorite initiatives blocked by the GOP.

More important is that JOE CAN GET US THE SENATE! Thus, he can get things done.

So, the chances that he can build one now do not seem likely.
More probably, he would refuse to compromise at all, and refuse to reach out
to people whose support he would need if those people weren't deemed sufficiently pure.
In lieu of passing any meaningful legislation or reforms, Sanders would stick to his "my way or else"
strategy and instead rant about the establishment, corporate Democrat, the revolution, and how unfair
everything is.
We're seeing the same thing in his campaign. He's unable to build coalitions to garner the support
to win a majority of the delegates. Instead, he's ranting about the unfairness of the system.

but instead of free college for all, we will get what s possible, free two year college, Pell grants expansion, discharge student debt with bankruptcy and maybe, more.

Progressives must get the levers of power, build a consensus, and then get stuff done. Alienating
“The establishment” is not the way. It will happen, but not all at once that progressive ideas become reality.

Thanks for the read.
