Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumWe will not see the full impact of Buttigieg's and Klobuchar's endorsements
in the Super Tuesday results, but we'll sure see it as the primary race continues. Plus, if Bloomberg and Warren withdraw on Wednesday or Thursday, as I expect, the full impact will be felt far and wide in the remaining primaries. We will have a two-person race.
Bernie Sanders is about to experience a collision with his ceiling. Hard hat, Bernie. Wear one.

(713 posts)A lot of ballots have already been cast in early voting in California. Bernie is poised to take a lot of delegates, but Joe is having a surge. It is just a matter of how big that surge will be on Tuesday. It is going be an interesting couple of days. Biden versus Bernie.

(146,248 posts)voting for Biden on the first ballot. Same for Buttigieg delegates. They will ask them to do so.
Frankly, you can add them to Biden's delegate count now, which will put him in the lead.

(13,056 posts)to any conclusions. For one thing, not all voters vote based upon ideology. And I think it remains to be seen how many supporters of those candidates who have dropped out will automatically come to support Joe. And regarding Bloomberg, I think that if he does fairly well tomorrow he might be tempted to stay in the race. I think he recently said that as long as he has a chance he will stay in. But I do think he will be under a lot of pressure to drop out, so we shall see.
And you already wisely indicated that we may not see the full impact tomorrow. You were probably taking early voting into account. And if Bernie has a big day tomorrow it might just be too late to stop him. Of course that's a mighty big "if."
