Joe BidenCongratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!

Mon Mar 2, 2020, 04:20 PM

Pete and Amy on stage. Bring out Harris and declare her his VP nominee.

Wouldn't it be great to have Pete and Amy on stage and then bring out Harris and declare her the VP choice?

primary today, I would vote for:

1. I don't expect that.

Really, I think he's going to give the VP nod to Amy, in the end, but not until the Convention.

4. Why Amy? She was back and forth in my #1 pick with Warren. But if not Harris,

I like the idea of Warren better.

9. Well, he needs someone young. He needs a woman.

He needs someone who has gotten a lot of good publicity during the campaign. Klobuchar would help in the Midwest, too. Finally, in 2024 or 2028, she will have gained some executive branch experience to go with her Senate experience. She has been a Senator as long as Bernie has.

I think she's the logical VP choice, actually. There's a position on Biden's cabinet for Buttgieg, too. I don't know what it is. And, then there's Elizabeth Warren. I'm thinking she would be a really, really good Treasury Secretary, you know. I wonder if she'd like to do that for the next four years?

Harris? Well, let's see....she was Attorney General of California, now, wasn't she? That sounds really interesting, doesn't it?

weird feeling if Biden comes out on top Harris will be asked to be his VP. Elizabeth Warren who I really admire, would be great too.

8. Worst strategy ever.

It would give another target for the GOP. Everyone has some baggage and we don't need to load that truck up.

10. I agree. There will be no announcement of anything like that, at

least publicly. There might, however, have been some discussion in private, I think.

3. Nope

The VP choice gives the nominee press coverage and a boost right before the convention, no need to waste it away now when the Democratic Party is closing ranks around him

5. Candidates usually don't declare a running mate until the convention

because by that time the shape of the GE is a little clearer and there has been more input from the party. I'd love it if he did that but I don't think he will.

Why are so many trying to remove females from the U.S. Senate?

Amy, Elizabeth and Kamala already have important jobs.

Joe needs moderate suburban women. And they are going to want to see a woman on the ticket. Not more white guys.

There will be plenty to choose from.

if that is a woman, great, but it doesn't have to be.

25. It's this thinking that cost Hillary

She should have picked Sherrod Brown. But she didnít want to lose a senate seat. So she picked Kaine. Who excited nobody.

Biden needs every woman he can get. He needs to pick one as VP to aid in getting them.

The VP spot is the ace in the hole Biden may need in a brokered convention. He cannot use up his best weapon now.
